What To Expect

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. 4 of us went on the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable-he had credentials that made the tour the best one I have had for a brewery tour. From how breweries work to the ingredients and how to “taste” beer! Great time was had by all! It is a must do tour while in Asheville!

Me and my friends went on this walking tour while in Asheville and it was one of the best decisions we made all week. We learned so much about the history of beer and Asheville and had several different tastings at all 3 breweries. Highly recommend this for anyone traveling to Asheville.

I was on a two hour-two stop experience on Saturday starting at 1130am. There were 9 of us in this group. We met and spent proportionally most of our time at Hi Wire Brewery. Our cicerone was Chris who was personable and extremely knowledgeable. We went through the brewing process, proper beer tasting procedure, and, of course, beer tastings. His explanations were detailed but very understandable and the time passed quickly. I helped that all of Hi Wire's beers were exceptionally good. We then walked a few blocks to Bhramari Brewery where we simply sampled some of their beers. On the way there, Chris gave us some interesting insights into the history and architecture of Asheville. This was a fun tour if you are interested in learning about the brewing process and seeing how it's done.
