What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. Let me come out and say first that I have never written a review on this website before. I had to for this. This tour is absolutely unbelievable and the guide was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I’m actually really pissed that I’m blanking on his name right now, but I’ll blame that on the beer-induced memory loss. Every beer was hand-picked by him and exquisite, the breweries were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and intoxicating (pun intended). If you are visiting Asheville and you love beer, you absolutely cannot miss out on this experience!

We loved this tour. We learned so much about the process of crafting beer. Off the beaten path brews too! We felt it was worth the money, especially because the tour guide was well-educated, has credentials and vast experience in beer and wine and more. We found ourselves discussing things we learned for days after the tour and as we visited other breweries around Asheville.
