What To Expect

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. Very informative and educational tour of the history of Asheville beer making as well as some interesting Asheville city history thrown in. Great variety of brewers as well as a range of beers to taste.

If you are in Asheville and like beer, take this tour. The guide (Greg) was great. We started at Hi-Wire brewery with an introduction to the brewing process that included sampling/tasting instructions. All questions were answered from our group of about 12 people and I learned a great deal of information about brewing and tasting beer. Next we walked to Catawba brewing for a tasting in a semi - private area of the brewery. This was a great way to taste and learn about the different beer styles. Highly recommend to beer lovers and anyone that likes to have fun while they learn.

Cliff did a great job explaining how beer was made, differences, etc. We went to 3 breweries, all with good samples. We ended up back at Twin Leaf and Asheville as a result of the tour.
