What To Expect

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. The BREW-ed Walking tour was a great way to learn about the history of Asheville and the growth of their vibrant brewing scene. Cliff was extremely knowledgeable and we had so much fun learning how to taste beers, the correct pronunciation of Gose and why they taste sour, and the process of becoming a cicerone. My girlfriend and I have been on dozens of brewery tours and this one was one of the most informative and fun ones. I would highly recommend anyone who loves craft beer to take this tour while visiting Asheville.

This tour is very informative, any and all questions you might have about brewing or asheville's history, he likely knows the answer. The beer samples are generous and you'll have a new appreciation of how best to experience the beer. This is the second time I've taken this tour, and I wanted my mom to take it too, the best brewery tour I've been on to date.

My friends and I did the two hour walking tour and loved it. We learned so much about the brewing process, how to taste beer, and all about the breweries in Asheville. We loved how there was some Asheville history too. Our guide was incredible and was obviously insanely knowledgeable about beer.We loved learning the proper tasting techniques, learning about the types of beer, and overall increasing our bee appreciation. This tour was great and I'd book it again!
