What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. This tour was the best part of our Asheville weekend get-away (and we did a lot of other fun things too!). Cliff was super knowledgeable of the history of beer and Asheville, the brewing industry, and the science that goes into it. He was genuinely friendly and an excellent speaker. The amount of beer that is offered to "taste" makes the ticket price worth it in of itself. This was an all-around excellent experience! It's just a shame that Asheville doesn't allow people to have an open container while walking around like our hometown of Savannah allows. That would be prefect in this city!

My husband and I visited Asheville on our honeymoon. We are not huge drinkers but felt we couldn't miss a brewery tour in a city so filled with options! Greg blew us away with his warmth and his knowledge. Not only is he a total expert on beers and brewing, Greg also knows the Asheville scene through and through. We loved spending more time in fewer breweries learning a ton about beer and Asheville.
