What To Expect

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. I highly recommend this tour! We had a group of 20(ish) and toured three different breweries. It was the most education I received about brewing and types of beer. Samples were generous. It was great to learn so much about the brewing process and Asheville breweries!

Wow, that was fun! I thought I knew quite a bit about brewing, but still learned a LOT from our super-friendly guide who has many, many years of experience in the industry. And since it was my first trip to Asheville, I really appreciated the local history/insights. Check out their website for days and times of tours, since it varies by day of the week. Not a lot of walking, just a lot of hanging out at a couple of brew-pubs talking about brewing, enjoying beer, science, and local culture. Wonderful way to spend a few hours!

This was a pretty interesting tour of 3 different breweries. The guide was really knowledgeable and I was pleasantly surprised by the depth and breadth of knowledge he had around both brewing and the history of Asheville. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that the online tickets did not clearly indicate where the meeting place was for the start of the tour and we ended up at their office instead of the meeting place resulting in some added walking and missing about 40 mins of our tour. Overall a really good experience, worth doing!
