We purchased out tickets on my phone about an hour prior to the tour. The phone app is to the point and easy. We meandered over to Hi-Wire Brewery, the app also gave us the meeting point, time and a map, and our guide was waiting on everyone to arrive. The first hour is all about BEER so we were hooked from the beginning. There is a deep dive on brewing beers, history of beers and just general knowledge of beer. We tasted 4 varied beers with descriptions and history's. From Hi-Wire we walked about 200 yards to Catawba Brewery. We were very happy sitting down in the back area of this eloquent brewery with the bluegrass band playing in the front area. Another history of beers and tastings of 4 more beers. Oh I forgot the short stop at Sawyer Motors and a history of Asheville lecture that was so interesting that we forgot about the beers. Yes it really was that interesting. Finally we walked around the corner to Green Man brewery, the "Dirty" Green man, and sample our last 4 beers with histories and brewing technique's.
To sum it up we had a great time and feel that we definitely received our moneys worth of beers and history on the BREW-ed Tour. We highly recommend this tour for anyone that is 21 or older.
