What To Expect

BREW-ed

This Brewery Tour is hosted by a Certified Cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer. As your guide takes you to each brewery, you'll do more than just drink. You'll learn about the brewing process, the ingredients and the history of beer while you discover some of the best breweries Asheville has to offer. At each stop on the brewery tour, you will enjoy three to four six ounce samples of beer. It is highly recommended that you eat a substantial meal before the tour and take smaller samples if you feel like you've had enough alcohol. In between breweries, your guide will tell you about the history of Asheville and how it came to be the beautiful city it is today. Feel free to ask questions at any point during the tour. Brew-ed was so much fun! Our brew educator Cliff really knew his stuff. He delivered his presentation clearly and was a ton of fun. I loved the fact that it was a walking tour and we got a little Asheville history in there too. Extremely happy with the amount and variety of beer served during the tour. Next time we visit Asheville I want to do the other tours they offer!

I visited Asheville in March of 2017 with my boyfriend and parents. My mom suggested this tour that she'd read about online. We've done many brewery tours so I wasn't expecting much new information, but we liked the idea of visiting and sampling a few different breweries and the fact that this was a walking tour vs. other bus tours. We were all blown away by how informative and interesting this tour was. I learned things I'd never heard before about the brewing process, different styles of beer, how to taste beer, as well as the history of Asheville and its brew scene. The guide was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about beer which made the experience very enjoyable. For that, plus the very generous amount of beer samples included in the price, this tour was completely worth the cost and a great way to spend 3 hours on a nice Saturday in Asheville.
