I really liked our tour guy. Extremely personable and knowledgable about beer. The price does seem a little steep but the tour does supply you with an ample amount of beer. So much so that my girlfriend needed to stop drinking towards the end of the tour. I gave it 4 instead of 5 just because I think it would have been nice to have a little more history regarding the town of asheville but you can only do so much in 3 hours.

This was really a highly fun & educational tour that exceeded my expectations, despite the great ratings it had gotten. Cliff, our guide, did a very thorough job explaining the brewing process & he was highly knowledgeable & engaging. We got the opportunity to taste 4-5 beers at 3 different breweries & they ran the gamut from light lagers to in-your-face IPA's & everything in between. Cliff gave a few interesting tidbits about Asheville history along the way. This is much more a brewery tour than an Asheville city tour, but what would you expect from a Brewery-Educational tour? Overall, very educational and excellent variety in beer & brewery styles! My wife's not a beer lover, but she enjoyed the tour as well.

The Brew-ed tour was really fun. We visited Hi-Wire Brewing and Catawba Brewing. The samples you receive are more than enough, and definitely more than my husband and I were expecting. You receive 3-4 samples at each brewery and that amounts to probably 3 full glasses. Cliff is a great tour guide-- he is informative, funny and energetic. It was nice to learn the in-depth process and history of beer making, as well as some Asheville history and how beer ties in to the culture of the city.
