Went to Asheville over the weekend with my fiancƩ and another couple. Since Asheville is known for its craft beer scene, we thought that an afternoon brew tour would be fun. This tour was great, and I am not usually a beer drinker at all. We started out at High Wire Brewing then made our way to Catawba and Green Man Brewery. All of them had a different vibe which made each stop unique. We got to sample three to four beers at each one with decent sized samples. Our guide was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the brewing process and Asheville's history. You got both rolled into one. It was definitely interesting and a fun way to spend our day. I would recommend this tour to anyone even if you don't really like beer.

Asheville is a Brew fans kind of town and this walking tour was fantastic. Got to sample some great beer and loved the history of the area and culture.

My husband and I have done other brewery tours that included education about beer-making. This one is a little different because there is some info about Asheville history as well. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a good job. All-in-all a good experience. However, for people who just want to try several different breweries in Asheville (there are many to choose from!) just go out and do it on your own. This is not the cost effective way to go, if you already know a lot about beer.

I'm so glad you had a great time on the tour! And you are absolutely right! If you want to bar hop in Asheville you can hit all of these breweries on your own and save a few bucks. That's why BREW-ed's tours focus on bringing some education to your experience. By providing a behind the scenes look at the brewing process, beer industry and history of Asheville, we provide more than a simple pub crawl. Thanks again for the kind words.
