Cliff is very knowledgeable about beer and brewing as well as the breweries we visited and the city of Asheville. We learned a lot and had a great time. We also tasted some really good and interesting beers. We did a private tour because Cliff's normal tour days didn't work for our visit -- the private tour was definitely worth the extra money! Because we were a smaller group, Cliff could tailor the tour to our interests. At two of the breweries, he chose beers for us to taste based on questions we had asked at another brewery. At each brewery, we peppered Cliff with our questions, and he answered all of them (including the chemistry and homebrewing questions) with confidence and good humor. Our small group was also able to get a bit more behind-the-scenes at one of the breweries. BTW, one in our group is not a big beer drinker and she also really enjoyed the tour. The tour is not just about drinking beer. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in Asheville.

Learned some interesting facts about Asheville and the beer making process. I would highly recommend this. I went on the shorter tour. I liked hi wire brewery. The wicked weed sour beer was interesting.

Cliff was very patient and accommodating, even with the large group that we had. An extremely well-rounded tour: from how beer is made, to the different styles of the breweries to the history of Asheville. And, of course, a good quantity of beer along the way.
