My husband and I honeymooned in Asheville, and I booked this tour more for him than for me because I'm not a big beer drinker. I ended up really enjoying myself. We got a great explanation of the brewing process, in a way that we were able to understand. We sampled between 3-4 beers at the 3 different breweries we visited. I don't really like the taste of beer, but Cliff gave us a good variety of samples, so I was able to really enjoy some of them. I also liked that this was a walking tour, and Cliff purposely picked specific routes between breweries to point out different Asheville landmarks and tell us some history. You can tell he does this a lot because everywhere we went people were greeting him. I would absolutely recommend everyone to take this tour!

Cliff clearly loves beer and does a great job leading this tour. Because it's a walking tour and there is a focus on Asheville's history, I think this is a great tour for spring/summer and for folks truly curious about beer and brewing. Unlike other beer tours where the focus is on drinking lots, there's definitely a friendly and informational focus here. Nevertheless, you get more than your money's worth in beer with 3-4 samples at each brewery. We visited 3 breweries total, including Twin Leaf one of Asheville's newest.

Cliff did a great job balancing the task of teaching me, a person who is still learning about the beer/brewing worlds, and introducing my boyfriend, who brews and knows a lot more than me, to new stories and methods of tasting. Walking around Asheville was interesting since we got to learn history about the town -it was our first time visiting Asheville. Cliff really knows beer and is very good at communicating that knowledge in a interesting, interactive and understandable way. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone I knew that was going to Asheville!
