This tour visits a number of local restaurants with an emphasis on local cooking. The guide picks different restaurants for each tour. Both simple and fancy. We had everything from barbecue, seafood, a milkshake, dessert, red rice, mac n cheese, and much more.
At each stop, the the tour had a separate table. As we ate, the guide explained the recipes, the restaurant history and cooks, and gave advice on similar restaurants to eat at.
Two suggestions:
1 - Skip lunch before and don't make dinner plans. These are not 'tastings' - there's more than enough food for two meals.
2 - If you have food restrictions, don't depend on the reservations. Call or email to confirm. Mine never got to the guide. He was amazing, calling ahead to each stop to make adjustments. It worked out well for me, but it was hard on him.
