What a great idea! And Glenn was the perfect guide. We loved his energy and passion for the Charleston food scene. We started at the Cumberland St. Smokehouse where they put out a full spread: BBQ, beans, pork rinds. The star of the show was their rubbed chicken wings, they were spectacular. This was followed by blueberry milkshakes at Carmella's, much appreciated on a 90-degree afternoon. Poogan's Smokehouse was next, where we had eaten lunch the day before. They too brought out a full spread. But I was disappointed in their mac-and-cheese, too runny. After grabbing a corndog-like shrimp-on-a-stick from Amen Street, we finished with a slice of tollhouse cookie pie at Kaminsky's. Decadent. The reviews are right. Take this tour for lunch and you won't want dinner. We loved it. Be sure to ask for one of Glenn's tours.

Highly recommend this tour! Amazing food and great information. I suggest doing this tour early in your trip so that you have lots of good information going into choosing restaurants throughout your stay! Well worth every penny! Also DO NOT eat anything before you take this tour. There will be LOTS of food!
