Owner Joe Nashville, Nashville Experience Tours, is native Tennessean and has roots that go back to the first settlement in Nashville - Ft. Nashborough. His insight into the historic and modern day Nashville is entertaining and creates a very unique tour experience from a local. Joe caps his tour groups to about half of the normal walking tour to create a more interactive and focused experience. He also despises loudspeakers. Joe speaks plenty loud for all to hear. Joe's knowledge of happenings and stories of interesting people of Nashville truly elevates this tour experience and showcases the real Nashville. **** Joe also has a City Experience Van Tour here if you prefer a van tour instead of walking.****

Joe is very knowledgeable, yet the tour was too focused on political history. A more balanced tour would have been appreciated.

I’m disappointed the tour didn’t meet this guests expectations. I do my best to clearly list what the tours are about. Normally I get positive feedback on the tour content. For future guests, please keep in mind during the pre-tour electronic requests, I ask if you have any interests you would like to see highlighted. Depending on the group, I can focus on areas of interest. Also, I do interact with guests before the tour starts and ask about the guests, their interests, likes, etc. Please don’t be bashful and speak up so I know what’s on your mind. I’m not sure of the reference to “too much politics.” We discuss history, Music, some famous politicians, trials, hotels, architecture, culture, Civil War, Civile Rights, and stories. Not sure what the reference to politics is about???? Maybe about the famous politicians or discussions of the state government buildings and quirks? Also, during the tour I love engagement, discussions, and questions. That leads to a good tour experience and allows guests to express their likes. If guests don’t engage, I assume the content if working for you. Sometimes it may be the case that the tour is not a good match for the guest’s expectations. I do all I can to set the expectations on my side and engage with guests to get theirs as well. Thanks! LB
