Owner Joe Nashville, Nashville Experience Tours, is native Tennessean and has roots that go back to the first settlement in Nashville - Ft. Nashborough. His insight into the historic and modern day Nashville is entertaining and creates a very unique tour experience from a local. Joe caps his tour groups to about half of the normal walking tour to create a more interactive and focused experience. He also despises loudspeakers. Joe speaks plenty loud for all to hear. Great tour! I took this on my last day in Nashville and it felt like a very nice ending of a fun weekend. Although, of course, it’s better if you can do this at the beginning of your trip - Larry can give you tips of great bars, restaurants, and rooftop bars to visit. It was an excellent walking tour during which I learned a ton about Nashville’s past and present. Larry was very caring and I appreciated that he did not cancel the tour even though I was the only person on it :) Larry is a wealth of knowledge!

Very knowledgeable about the history of Nashville, especially the history of the government and the buildings where everything takes place. At the other end of the spectrum Larry knows some of the stories behind the back street places of entertainment from the Nashville beginnings. If you want a strict stick to it itinerary, don’t go with this company. The willingness to go with the flow was much appreciated especially on the very cold day we toured. We liked finishing up on the Rooftop of the Noelle for a yummy cocktail.

Great introduction into history and culture of Nashville and Tennessee, in general. Guide was extremely interesting and informative. As it was our first day in Nashville, it provided us with a good orientation to downtown area.
