• Everyone must go through the security check when entering the building
• No glass or bottles are permitted to be taken to the Observatory
• Cameras and camcorders are allowed, but no tripods
• You can ONLY bring carry-on-size bags and backpacks
• There are no rooms to check coats, packages, baggage or suitcases, so please don't bring them to the Observatory

Masks are optional for all guests at the Empire State Building Observatory Experience. For guest comfort, Observatory staff is fully vaccinated and will continue to wear masks.

A limited number of ticket holders will have the chance to arrive before the building officially opens. Check-in at the information desk and you will be escorted to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Get lost in the hues of the sky as the city awakens. One of our favorite things we did in NYC. The sunrise at ESP is worth every penny. VIP treatment from the time you walk in. The people who work there were wonderful! You are there before it’s open to the public with maybe 20 other people so you don’t have people on top of you or fighting for views. Elevator up to the observation deck. Starbucks coffee with the option to purchase a pastry. The pictures you get will make you feel like a professional photographer. The views are breathtaking. Afterwards get a few minutes in the museum. This was very cool and a nice surprise. Can’t recommend enough! Only thing I would change is the gift shop isn’t open so you have to come back later in the day and go through security and all that all over again to spend money there.

Waste of time thru Viator. Do not book anything thru them. Terriblecustomer service. Lying about their tours. DO NOT BOOK!

Being outside, on the 86th loot and watching the sun come up over NYC - awe inspiring. Small group so no jockeying for a good viewing spot. And the Gallery afterwards was full of interesting displays.
