First trip to Everglades & had no idea where to go. We chose this day long excursion out of Fort Myers. Pickup at hotel was prompt. Our wonderful tour guide, Heidi, was so smart & full of tons of local knowledge. She kept us informed while on our drive down of all the different palm trees & things to view. Such a wealth of knowledge! She also listened to us & what may be of interest to us during the day. Our first stop was the airboat ride. We enjoyed that & did see some gators. Pretty birds on the store porch there. Next was nature walk. Heidi was great to point out things we surely would have missed. Then we had lunch at a cute little diner along the way. It was perfectly timed as we were hungry & tired & needed a break. Next was the boat trip to 10,000 islands. Tristan, our boat captain, was equally as awesome as Heidi. He explained the history there & his stories were so interesting. We’d really like to go back there & spend more time. The islands were beautiful & boat ride was so fun. Overall, just a great day & experience. Special shout-out to Heidi. She was wonderful!!

Heidi was a fantastic guide. Loved both the boat rides! We got to see a ton of birds, lots of Gators and some dolphins! Good history on the area!

This was one of the worst tours ever. Misleading and fell short of what it promised on all levels! We paid a lot of money for run down boats, a walk on a cheesy trail off the road in a hot humid mosquito infested environment. Our tour guide was a nice guy but we learned nothing and oh if you wanted those alligator appetizers they promised forget about it. They didn’t even mention it. False advertising! I would not recommend this tour. Imagine throwing $400 in the trash can. Ouch!!!

Hi Stephen, Thank you for the feedback. The heat and humidity of a Florida summer is not for the faint of heart. While I can't control the weather, I am proud of the comfortable, air conditioned van that we transport you in but to experience the subtropical wilderness we do need to get out. The nature walk takes place in an award winning Florida State Park. I don't know what constitutes "cheesy". The old growth cypress? The nesting gators? The poisonous (and harmless) grasshoppers? Owls hooting in the trees? It's all cool to me. The Everglades National Park boat ride is on a 2016 Carolina skiff. The airboat is a 2009. Neither are old or rundown and they operate well. I have not advertised alligator appetizers since January 2021 when we removed them from the menu and from our website. I no longer felt it made sense to eat the animal everyone was excited to see. We don't eat panther, dolphin or manatee either. I hire well-educated biologists and naturalists to conduct the tour. I'm sorry if a day with an Everglades expert wasn't an educational experience but I would encourage anyone going on tour to have an open mind to everything the Everglades has to offer.
