We regret booking this trip through Viator. If we had booked directly with the tour operator we could have saved $45 each and been picked up right at our hotel instead of parking at a Tesla Supercharger site. The tour was very good but our guide, Mark, should have talked much less than he did. He seemed intent on filling up every minute of the drive with observations and exhortations to appreciate all that nature has to offer. Got tiresome after awhile. Most wildlife viewing was various birds while stopping along the highway and looking at the canals.

Mark was an excellent guide and full of knowledge. He was great at pointing out birds and alligators etc from the road and at our stops. I highly recommend him. I thought the transport van was too crowded, although later learned a driver had called in sick that dayl

I recommend going on this alligator tour. You get picked up at 7:45 AM at a location (we got picked up at Flamingo Gardens). We then went to the Everglades Safari Park for an airboat tour. We saw multiple alligators, birds, and a bald eagle. We drove along Alligator Alley and saw multiple alligators and birds, including in people’s backyards! We then went to the Oasis Visitor Center where we saw 25 alligators in close proximity (but safe behind a fence). We then went to Big Cypress National Park- it wasn’t as action-packed and we saw some trees and mini turtles. We then ate a delicious lunch at Triad Seafood (I ate a grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich and my husband ate a grilled Mahi Mahi salad). Lastly, we went on a boat ride near the Smallwood store and saw multiple bottlenose dolphins (they liked swimming- their version of surfing- behind the wake of our boat and they would jump out of the water), a ton of white pelicans on an island, and the ground full of oyster shells from Native Americans. Our tour guide was passionate and informative. He was also helpful at all times.

I appreciate the fantastic feedback and the 5-star review! Just a point of clarification - we drive along Tamiami Trail (aka US-41) in the morning which is what you described. In the afternoon on our way back we take Alligator Alley (aka I-75). Thanks and so glad you enjoyed the trip!
