Dave was spectacular! He gave all kinds of background information every step of the way. He told us all about the various wildlife we saw at the museum, such as the grizzly bears and black bears, all from his personal experiences. It was great to learn so much about Fairbanks Alaska from a long-time resident of the area.

We did this tour with our 10 year old granddaughter. We were the only ones on the tour this day but our Guide, Gary Tupper, was excellent, sharing a lot of local knowledge as well. The museums were interesting and informative for us all. We found the pipeline very interesting and unfortunately did hit one of Santa's days off, but nonetheless, the shop was extensive. We also stopped at a wood shop Gary knew and it was interesting how the can make bowls and decorative items from wood. We did purchase a bowl commemorating how home state's statehood. Gary never rushed us and made the trip even more interesting with his local knowledge. I recommend both the tour and particularly Gary. We would definitely do it again if we return to Fairbanks.

We really lucked out with this tour. First off, it was just my wife and I on the tour. Second was the tour guide himself! Dave is a very soft-spoken guy who possesses an incredible wealth of Alaska knowledge. We had a lot of far ranging discussions and really enjoyed his company.
