Thanks to our wonderful guide, Randy (aka Wolfman), our float on the Upper New River was the best part of our WV vacation. He was knowledgable, funny, and encouraging. The river is beautiful and peaceful, with a few more intense spots along the way to keep it from being boring. Recognizing that the 3 teenagers in our family of 5 were quite capable of doing more advanced rapids, the staff offered to let us take a kayak along with the raft. Under Randy's guidance, each of them enjoyed some time hitting the class 3 spots alone in the kayak while the rest of us were in the raft. They loved it! We hope to get back next summer. All of the staff we dealt without WV Adventures were friendly and professional. If you are in the area, take advantage of the services of this great company.

This was our first rafting experience and first visit to WV. Our guide Patrick and the gentleman who drove the van made the whole experience wonderful. They were extremely knowledgeable about the landscape, which made for interesting conversation during the drive to and from the river. For planning, you may want to consider that the drive was 30-45 min each way. Patrick provided excellent instructions for rafting which made us feel extra safe, especially being first-timers. Our group was 2 adults, and 3 kids ages 10-12. Words cannot explain the beauty and tranquility of the scenery. We even got to see a bear cub swimming across the river! This was a day that our family will remember forever. I highly recommend this company.

Hanah and tour folks are extremely friendly and caring. We took 9 am trip on Upper New River and ended around 3. Trip is longer compared to others. Scenes are very beautiful, peaceful and serene.
