Food and history tour of the quarter was very interesting and delicious. This is the second time we have taken this same tour and enjoyed it just as much!

We met with our tour guide Candy outside Herme's bar in the Quarter. She was very pleasant, knowledgable, and personable. She answered all questions asked of her to the group, not just to the person asking. We appreciated that greatly because it allowed us to get further insight into the history, culture, and food in New Orleans. The locations to which she took us had varied cuisine and histories. We had tastes of foods that were sweet, savory, spicy, and all of which were delicious. Our least favorite items were the pralines but we have never liked pralines anyway. It was a fun, tasty, and educational tour of some of the oldest and best restaurants and eateries in this beautiful city. **WARNING** If you are not open minded about or are not willing to try new cuisine (i.e. turtle soup, spicy food, seafood, etc. do not waste your time and money. This is a tour for people who want to taste some of the food that made this city a legend in the culinary world. New food not tried is an experience wasted.

We were in NOLA this past February and signed up to take the Culinary and History Tour. Since we arrived between Superbowl and the weekend before Mardi Gras, there were fewer people in the Quarter, and as a result we had a personal and ā€œprivateā€ tour by our guide, Kelly who was the owner of the company. She escorted us through the several venues that have been listed by reviewers below and imparted a myriad of wonderful facts about the culture, traditions, and history of New Orleans and its unique restaurants and dishes . The demonstration by Saundra at Creole Delicacies on making roux and the tasting of the red beans and rice was a special and excellent ending to the tour. It was an afternoon of great food, fun, and fellowship! We hope to join her in the future for the New Orleans Classic Drink Tour. We very highly recommend this company and urge you to check it out!
