Prepare yourself for a great afternoon with the Tour That Tastes Good! You will be greeted by one of our good-looking and brainy tour guides, who will be eager to escort you to historic restaurants with wonderful ambiance. There you will taste mouthwatering local dishes, such as Gumbo, Red Beans and Rice, and the Muffaletta sandwich. A praline for dessert is included! You will glide through our fabulous French Quarter, founded in 1718. You will admire historic St. Louis Cathedral, named after King Louis IX, who was truly a Saint. He led the seventh and eighth Crusades back in the 13th century. Across the way from the Cathedral is beautiful Jackson Square. If you are interested, the 1850 House on the Square has a nice selection of cookbooks and history books. Regarding the diverse architecture, there is no other place in the country like it. Greek revival buildings stand next modest Shotgun houses. Admire the wrought iron balconies and galleries. We welcome you!

We took this tour on our last full day in NOLA and it was a great way to close out our visit. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about NOLA and its history, and she had a relaxing way of letting that history unfold as we went from stop to stop. Each stop was fantastic. The starting bar on Decatur, Tujague's, right by the French Market has such a rich history and it was so interesting to hear about the city's immigrant roots. The short roux cooking demonstration at Creole Delicacies was super interesting, and the lady that gave it was clearly a wealth of knowledge and very funny as well. The behind the scenes tours of Arnaud's and Antoine's were fantastic! We were even able to peek into the kitchen at Antoine's (surprisingly small!), and toured several of the dining rooms. We toured the upstairs of Arnaud's, where there is a fascinating exhibit of Mardi Gras attire worn by Ms. Germaine, one of the restaurant's most flamboyant owners. The tour guides are clearly proud of their city, and it really shows in this tour. We really enjoyed our time on the ride.

This was an awesome tour with Naif Shahady, who knows everyone in the Quarter, and takes you to famous restaurants for an inside peek at both the food and the history of the Quarter. He was an excellent guide for everyone in our group, especially those with mobility challenges. One warning: the tour is quite a bit longer than advertised!

New Orleans School of Cooking was a wonderful and very delicious experience!!!! Kevin explained everything he was demonstrating as he cooked our yummy meal and kept us laughing with his recounts of growing up in New Orleans!!!! After filling our tummies we met our French Quarter Tasting Tour in front of Tujague's and sampled the delicious brisket, then on to others stops sampling pralines, gumbo, muffaletta, gelato, cannoli and shrimp Arnaud. The history of the French Quarters was most interesting and the food was wonderful!!!!
