My husband and I had a wonderful walking tour of the French Quarter with Dru. She was extremely informative and knowledgeable, not only about the history of NOLA, but current events in the city as well. We enjoyed her company and stories about the city. Would highly recommend this tour.

We went on a tour of the French Quarter, looking for a general overview of the area on our first day in the city. Our guide Regine was very knowledgeable and filled the tour with stories and facts from the colonial era to modern day. Despite the heat, we stayed relatively cool by standing in the shade while learning about the city. She also gave us recommendations of places to eat and things to do (mostly museums that are cheap or free (also air-conditioned)). The tour lasted approximately 2 hours. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students, seniors, and military. Admission also includes the 1850 House museum.

We did the tour historical/architectural tour on a rainy day, which turned out to be great! It was just my husband and myself and our tour guide Kelly - so we got to set our own pace and ask lots of questions. Learning about the history of New Orleans and learning about the unique architectural elements was a treat! After the tour we went through the 1850 house on a self-guided tour - a nice bonus to the walking tour. Definitely a great deal and a great introduction to a fascinating city.
