We had a brief weekend as first time visitors to New Orleans and picked up a flyer for the walking tours run by Friends of the Cabildo. Our volunteer, John, was so good an sharing the interesting history of NOLA and answering many questions--including where to have lunch. The 1850 House is the place to go on Jackson Square! We will definitely go back.

I recently took a walking tour of the French Quarter with Josh from the friends of the Cabildo. He was very knowledgeable about the history and area. He knew the answer to every question and had a very interactive tour with visual aids that kept our attention during the two hour program. If you are looking for a tour seek out Josh and you won't be disappointed.

A lot of history condensed into a two hour walking tour of the French Quarter. The tour was informative without being pedantic. Spot on Suzanne. Kudos to a volunteer tour guide that makes the history come alive. EL
