Extremely knowledgeable, personal tour guide was very friendly and informative. His energy and enthusiasm for New Orleans and the French Quarter was infectious. I would definitely recommend taking the tour. And as a matter of fact, if I come back to New Orleans, I will probably take it again because there's just so much to see and learn about this area. Plus, you get a free tickets to the 1850 house.

The 2-hour walk around the French Quarter is the perfect choice if you want to know something more about the French Quarter and its history. Josh V., our tour guide, is very knowledgeable and also very friendly. Highly recommended!

The Marigny is the first faubourg or neighborhood down river from The French Quarter. It was created when Bernard de Marigny de Mandeville, a colorful character and inveterate gambler subdivided his plantation and sold off lots. Josh V., a Louisiana State Museum, Friends of The Cabildo trained guide took two of us on a walking tour of the neighborhood. His two hour tour was just the right mix of architecture, history, personalities and stories. HIs knowledge of the area is extensive yet his editing was precise. He invited questions and used them as an opportunity to expand the scope of the tour in areas of our interest. New Orleans is my adopted city. Josh's tour was the perfect introduction to a new neighborhood in a city I have come to live and breath. Thanks, Josh.
