This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.

We use the VOX Whisper System. Staff is responsible for cleaning each machine. The ear and mic buds are disposable. Units will only be used once per week to allow for rotating a clean unit to guests & guides. Guests can remove mask outside during the tour, inside state law requires a mask.

Though I have visited and toured the New Orleans French Quarter multiple times, my walking tour was full of new information. I would totally recommend this tour to everyone. The information was both current and historical. It was fun to listen to. The tour as about 2 hours...just right. Thank you Josh V.

I suppose you go on a walking tour to get a really good insight to the area you visit. We wanted to know more about the French Quarter and all our research pointed us to using Friends of the Cabildo. This was not a mistake. Our guide David, not an original resident of New Orleans was excellent. His tour was at a good pace, funny, historical and informative. I am not sure how this tour competes against others but I would certainly recommend this one on the basis of our guide and other traveller ratings.
