Super trips! Garl's a great and extremely helpful guy. It's a pleasure to join on his trips. He has a professionnal crew who make the trips so interesting. I joined on his day trip, and what a day! Kayaking at sunset, gator watching, walking hip deep in the cypress woods, night walk to find snakes... name it, you got it! Garl's makes it worth every buck and helps you out with anything you want to know. Book with Garl and forget the others! You won't regret, they will make sure of that.

On a recent trip to America I stopped at Key Largo to visist the Everglades, I met Garl and we went on our way, hiking through gator holes, with amazing scenery, birds and snakes all around. Then onto Kayaking which was strenuous but this is what I wanted. Saw Lemonhead Sharks, Crocs, Gators, Crabs, a lot of birds and even a Flamingo, so many amazing pictures, Garl was so knowledgeable about the area and made it really interesting. In America for 2 and a half months and this is the highlight of the trip, felt really pleased to see so much wildlife that other people would not get a chance to see in the wild, a real experience. I went on 24th September, rained a bit while Kayaking but felt like this was a good time to go

During a recent dive trip down to Key Largo I was fortunate enough to find out about an amazing opportunity to visit the Everglades with Garl's Coastal Kayaking. I've "toured" the Everglades before but nothing like this. You begin your trip in Key Largo (if you wish) and get geared up with everything you might need for this full-day adventure. During the drive into the Everglades National Park you meet Garl and your travel partners for the day. We began our expedition with a short hike through the swamp to a Cyprus Dome, all the while, Garl pointing out the flora and fauna of this feature. The water was crystal clear (until we stirred it up) and nearly to our knees as we made our way to the dome. Garl is extremely knowledgeable about the "glades" and has a keen eye for pointing out even the tiniest critters and hazards (wasp nest) along the way. Once we got back to the van, we proceeded farther into the park and stopped at a "pond" to launch the kayaks. Garl led us along the water ways with skill and a particular knowledge of the area that only experience and a love of the place can provide. Even the short rain shower was refreshingly welcome. During this phase of the trip I saw the largest Crocodile I had ever seen (and we were able to silently approach to within 20 feet of it for some great photos). We loaded up the kayaks to proceed with the trip, ending up in Flamingo where we launched the kayaks again for an adventure into the salt water estuary of the park. Along the way we encountered sharks feeding in the shallows (Lemon's according to Garl) and a birders paradise with more species than I can name here. Notable for me were the Wood Storks; Osprey's and Spoonbills. Paddling back to the launch ramp in the dusk we were presented with a lovely sunset. The trip back included a night trek (which I had to miss due to a time crunch) but would have been grand. On the way back to Key Largo Garl, an accomplished photographer, shared his photos taken during the trip. This was not only a great "surface interval' for divers, but would be enjoyed by anyone desiring an up close and intimate tour of a unique and outstanding natural treasure.
