I went on Garl's all day Everglades adventure on my first trip to the Florida Keys, 2 years ago. I was escaping a nightmarish winter back home in the mountains, and this adventurous, up-close encounter with the plants and animals of the Everglades was largely what sold me on moving down here. I had planned a "sealion swim" as the highlight of my trip, but the sealion experience wasn't nearly as memorable as kayaking with alligators and crocodiles, hiking through a river of mud, and watching hundreds of red-orange reflections of alligator eyes floating across the river at night like many flaming candles. Awe inspiring! Garl shares his vast knowledge of the plants and wildlife, takes you by a fruit stand for fresh local fruit and smoothies, and even times the ocean kayaking portion of the day for a sunset picnic in your kayaks on the water. If you're lucky, you might also get to see some dolphins up close. Perfect day!

What an amazing way to see and learn about the Everglades! Garl knows the area inside out and heā€™s truly passionate about it. Our trip was around eight hours during which time we waded, walked and kayaked through some stunning habitats. With Garl, not only do you get to see plenty of hard-to-find wildlife but you also learn about the whole eco system and its incredible biodiversity. Garl tailored the whole afternoon and evening to us and always ensured that the kids were comfortable with the itinerary. It was a day weā€™ll never forget (and the photos Garl takes of the day are superb!)

I have gone on 2 kayaking adventures with Garl now, and hope to go on many more. He is extremely knowledgeable about the everglades and wildlife, making the trip not only fun but educational. On both trips I saw and learned more about the everglades than I could have imagined. I would recommend this trip to anyone who likes to be immersed in nature and to see the best sights that South Florida has to offer!
