What a great trip! When you book the full day hiking-kayaking tour, that's exactly what you get. My husband and I and another couple were picked up by Garl at 10am and got back around 9:30pm! We started with a stop at the local tropical fruit stand, then two hikes, mangrove swamp kayaking, sunset kayaking on the bay, then a night hike with flashlights. We saw snakes, birds, and at least 20-25 alligators...some REALLY up close! Garl takes pictures the whole time, capturing amazing moments and magazine-quality wildlife shots. You can get a CD with all the pictures on it for $30, and I think it's definitely worth the money. I would recommend this trip, or any of Garl's trips, to ANYONE wishing to experience the true wild side of the Florida Everglades!

I would have to say that Garl lives up to his reputation of wilderness man. I went with his tour while my parents were visiting me in Key Largo. I wanted to show my parents the outstanding beauty of the Everglades in the real way that I had experienced while working for Outward Bound. It was amazing! Our day was full of exploration in unique scenery. We saw a family of gators in a gator hole as well as cotton mouth snakes, bard owls and many many other bird life. If i had to guess we probably saw in the ball park of 50 + gators including the ones we saw on the night walk. Garl is an extremely nice guy, he took the time to take pictures of my parents and I as we were enjoying the sunset over flamingo. It's a time I will never forget!

My husband and I were spending our honeymoon in Key Largo when we found out about Garl's Coastal Kayaking. We had a blast! The first day we went out with Garl hiking and kayaking through Everglades National Park. The hiking, kayaking, and night walk on the Anhinga trail were just amazing!! The following day we went on the ocean kayaking tour with Rob. Again it was amazing!! Both Garl and Rob know their stuff - we we're able to see more and learn more in 2 days than we have living in south Florida and visiting the Keys for years!! We had so much fun we can't wait to do it again!
