On a business trip to Florida, we took a day to join Garl and explore the Northern fringes of Florida Bay with a mixed group of people and had a great experience. He is highly knowledgeable and cares deeply about the everglades. He took us to alligator holes, rare orchids, all kinds of birds and other wildlife (including a few snakes). All the while with the utmost regard for our safety and respect for the creatures in their natural habitat. Finished the day with wine and cheese at sunset and a nightime tour by flashlight that revealed a host of wildlife we hadn't seen before. Lots of up close encounters with alligators from the safety of the kayak. A great day. well worth the trip.

Garl was recommended to my fiance and me by an environmentalist in the Keys. Any fear I might have had of snakes and gators was diminished by his knowledge of their habits and surrounding habitat. If you like going places without a lot of tourists, doing a little hiking and a lot of kayaking, you'll love this day spent with Garl among the cypress trees, mangroves, birds, and ending with the sunset over the saltwater marshes. Be warned--there are other tour groups out there that can show you where the gators live and put a kayak in the water for you but they don't really have an understanding of protecting the life in the Everglades. Garl is the real deal and worth every penny.

Garl knows how to run a tour. He is extremely knowledgable and cares deeply about the Everglades. He keeps the groups small and shows you things no one else will find. He adjusts the tour to the specifics of the day, so no matter what the weather or conditions, you will have great time and see amazing things. If your goal is to see and learn about the flora and fauna in the Everglades while respecting the environment you're in, go with Garl. He'll even do the photography for you...now that's service!
