Overview

The highlight of the show is the Samoan Fire-knife dance, known as the "Tooth of Death". In the original interpretation, this dance was performed with a dangerously sharp blade.

The story behind the dance is of a Samoan chief making a movie for Hollywood many years ago. He decided to include the flaming torch in his part to make the dance more spectacular.

The show also includes the energetic Samoan Slap Dance, a traditional display of male prowess. True to the name, the dancers slap their chests, arms and legs repeatedly throughout this segment. For Samoan men, this was an opportunity to demonstrate their bravery and courage.

Wheelchair accessible - collapsible wheelchairs preferred
Most surfaces are wheelchair accessible, since we do have ramps to the Bar, the Restrooms, and the Ohana Gift Shop, and outside surfaces of the luau have harder sand
Motorized wheelchairs are allowed in most areas, however, Germaine's Luau will not be responsible for any damages to the electric mechanism for the chair due to sand, as our luau is on a private beachfront property.

Our experience was fantastic! We entered to beautifully decorated tables and musicians playing. The Hawaiian and Polynesian dancers were beautiful as they shared their traditional dances. The luau food was prepared traditionally and was delicious. Thank you for such a wonderful yet educational experience!

What a great experience! Food was yummy and well presented and the location was beautiful. The MC was enthusiastic and engaging. The staff was one of a kind and we felt like family. the entertainment and variety of different cultural representations was excellent. We very much enjoyed the ceremony of unveiling the pig. Audience participation was fun. The check-in process was effortless. The fire dancer (Pete) was extremely experienced and a great part of the show. Getting the opportunity to take pictures with the dancers at the end was a great bonus. We highly recommend this show and would go again.

I highly recommend Germaine’s Luau! Traveling with family that require special accommodations, Germaine’s Luau staff provided the care and kindness to ensure my family members are comfortable. We enjoyed the show: the MC has a beautiful singing voice (reminds me of Karen Carpenter), the band was great, the dancers were phenomenal, and the overall sound was at the right decibel! The food was delicious and had more than enough for everyone! The location is beautiful! We truly enjoyed every aspect of Germaine’s Luau and my family appreciates their Hawaiian hospitality. Mahalo!!!
