Grand Canyon Caverns, Route 66 with Electric Vehicle Museums Tour

Overview
The Route 66 Museum is truly unique in that it is a museum of history, housed in a historical building that lighted the way for the earliest Route 66 travelers. The building, built between 1907 & 1911, powered early Kingman and area mines starting in July 1909. It also supplied power for the construction of Hoover Dam, until the Dam began producing cheaper hydroelectric power in the late 1930s.
The Route 66 Electric Vehicle Museum, is the first of its kind anywhere. This Museum includes twenty-nine (and counting) vehicles on loan from the Historic Electric Vehicle Foundation, with members worldwide.
The tour begins with an elevator ride down 21 stories (210 feet) to the Chapel of the Ages cavern, the scene of numerous weddings throughout the years and large enough to hold two football fields. Your guide will tell you about the history of these awesome Caverns. Afterward, we will grab lunch (optional) at one of our area's favorite eateries.

Your adventure begins with our first experience at the Kingman Powerhouse/Historic Route 66/Electric Vehicle museum. The Route 66/Electric Vehicle Museum is in Kingman’s Historic Powerhouse and depicts the historical evolution of travel along the 35th parallel that became Route 66. Brilliant murals, photos and life-size dioramas capture each of the groups that have traveled what came to be known as the Mother Road.

Grand Canyon Caverns
As we travel to your next experience, we climb in elevation from the dry desert to a lusher vegetation with juniper and pine trees, traveling through Crozier Canyon where 128 trains pass daily through the Historic towns of Hackberry, Valentine & Truxton. Our journey continues through Peach Springs, Hualapai Indian reservation arriving at Grand Canyon Caverns. First, we visit Radiator Springs, the inspiration for the movie Cars. Then we travel to the Caverns for your tour 200+ feet below the earth. When we finish the underground caverns tour, we'll have lunch (included) at their Caverns Grill.

Great trip! Bob was so nice to work with setting up our trip and when we had problems with our flight he was able to rearrange our date for our tour with no problem! Jeremy was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and thoughtful, what a pleasure spending the day with him! He knows his stuff and we will definitely use this company again and recommend them to one and allšŸ‘Bob and Kay Bell
