By far our most popular private hiking tour, this hike and sightseeing tour offers guests varying views of the Canyon, from the inside out. This tour is for guests who want to enjoy an excellent tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but also spend some time below the Rim.

Enjoy a great tour with a knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic guide who loves what they do. We provide door-to-door service from your stay place with everything you need to have a great time. Grab your camera and leave the lunch, snacks, beverages, hiking equipment, and driving to us! We pick up in the following towns: Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, and Grand Canyon.

What To Expect

Yavapai Point

We start the day with a viewpoint where your guide will give a hiking orientation.

South Kaibab Trail

The hiking portion of this tour will traverse 3/4 of a mile down the South Kaibab to Ooh Aah Point and then go back up the same way you came. Weather and crowd permitting you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the viewpoint. This delicious lunch is made by Brandy's restaurant the morning of your tour. All your gear, such as backpacks and trekking poles is provided.

Grand Canyon South Rim

The rest of the day is spent traveling to various viewpoints along the South Rim in a comfortable air conditioned van or SUV. At each viewpoint we will exit the vehicle and your guide will spend time showing you views through the provided spotting scope and regale you with interpretation that includes information about the plants, animals, peoples, history, and archaeology of the Grand Canyon. The viewpoints included depend on weather, time of year, crowds, and guide preference. They may include, but are not limited to: Mather Point, Grandview Point, Moran Point, Tusayan Ruins, and Desert View Watchtower.

We scheduled a private sightseeing/hiking one day tour. Donnie Stockwell was our guide and he is a FANTASTIC guide! He customized our tour of the Grand Canyon to accommodate our family. Donnie has a wealth of knowledge of the canyon--geology, flora, fauna, and local history. He provided a gourmet lunch and sunset wine and cheese service from unbelievably scenic overlooks. We wanted and took short hikes, however, Donnie can provide extensive hikes including overnight excursions. Our hikes provided excellent photo opportunities. We visited the center for mules that guide tourists down/up the canyon. This visit thrilled my daughter as she had read "Brighty of the Grand Canyon" novel by Marguerite Henry during our drive to the National Park. We also took a short hike on the Brighty Trail. Pick up and drop off from Under Canvas was on time and convenient. Our family would highly recommend All-Star Grand Tours and their guide Donnie Stockwell.

There are not enough adjectives to describe our private tour of the Grand Canyon with Ben. It was amazing, unforgettable, and definitely the highlight of our road trip. He customized the tour based on what we wanted to see and do. And Cari customized our lunch and sunset charcuterie board. Ben and Cari are a class act. You will not be disappointed!

My husband and I booked a private custom 10 hour tour of the Grand Canyon with Ben Murphy last weekend and we could not have been more pleased! Ben was so thoughtful, kind and attentive, planning the day out perfectly for us as a couple, making sure we experienced our first time at the Canyon in the most magical way possible. From the custom lunch at Hermit's Rest to the charcuterie board overlooking the sunset in a secret spot only he knew, to the back country hike and descriptions of the canyon along the way, we couldn't have asked for more! It was a true pleasure and we can't wait to book another adventure with him in the future!
