The Grand Canyon Rim Hike is one of the best hikes in Yellowstone National Park. This hiking tour is a loop. Your tour guide will watch for bears and answer your questions.
Not only do we hike along the Rim of the Canyon, but also through the forest to lakes, mud pots, and meadows.

What To Expect

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. This is also the staring point for Uncle Tom's Trail. The hike is a 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, through the forest out to Ribbon Lake, and then past a geyser basin, Clear Lake, and the Wapiti Meadows with big views of the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this is it!

I did the 6 hour wilderness hike. It was myself (35), Mom (65), and my son (5). We had a great time, saw a lot of wildlife over morning coffee and Huckleberry muffins and our hike/picnic was very memorable. I've never been able to have a picnic among bison and prognoses....so neat! It was well worth the money. The guides were very nice and knowledgable. Highly recommended.

Emily Jo and Josh are incredible guides! They are familiar with the area and very experienced guides. It was amazing all the hands-on information they could give as we hiked to Firehole River and Lone Star Geyser. Our family learned so much, as this couple obviously enjoy what they are doing and use their background experience and knowledge to allow hikers to partake in a memory-making hike. Our family highly recommends Josh and Emily Jo as guides. The experience was worth it and so was the healthy lunch!

My family and I took a day hike with Josh and Emily Jo to ascend Bunsen Peak and then loop back to the trailhead. It was an amazing experience that allowed us to join the 1% of Yellowstone visitors to get off the main drag and into the Back country. The guides were full of information about the area and were able to answer our many questions. Emily Jo made an amazing lunch for us to enjoy in a glade on the way down. We will definitely use their services again the next time we go to Yellowstone as many more backcountry adventures await!
