Our family did the 3 day package where we stayed in at the Railway Depot Hotel, rode the train the next day to the Grand Canyon, stayed in Maswik Lodge, then rode the train back the next day and stayed at the Railway Depot Hotel the 3rd night. A little pricey but was nice to have all the convenience of breakfast and meals at the Railway station restaurant. The hotel had a nice lobby and check-in was easy even with the large volume of people. The Wild West show entertainers were pretty cute and the entertainers/conductors were fun as well as they sang and hijacked the train on the way back. Fun family memories were made.

Rode the railway to the Grand Canyon. Sat in first class. Had pastries, muffins, fruit, orange juice water, coffee and sodas on trip to canyon. Ride was 2hr 15 min. We took in the sights of the Grand Canyon ourselves for 3 1/2 hours and then took the return back with the railway and was served an array of cheeses, crackers, salami and dip, along with a vegetable tray, lemonade, water and sodas. Alcoholic beverages were available for a fee. Pictures of us were taken on the train by a photographer and for sale at end of trip. Bank robbers got on the train to rob the passengers on return trip. There was a western gun battle before the trip started. Funny and cute show for all ages. Was a fantastic day, well worth the price tag.

My friend and I took the train (coach class) to the Canyon and enjoyed it immensely. Because she had a National Park Pass we were able to get a discount on the ticket, well worth the money for the round trip ticket. The tour guide was extremely friendly and informative and very patient with our many questions. The walk around the south rim was easy and fun and incredible views. Saw wildlife along the way too!
