Beautiful place to visit! The photographers took fantastic pictures of our family on the skywalk. The $65 flat fee for all the pictures was reasonable.

These people should be ashamed of this operation. We planned to take a Wednesday day trip from Las Vegas with our two kids and were so disappointed with our day. We arrived just before noon and waited in line for 30 min to purchase the almost $y300 worth of tickets that were required to get the 4 of us out to the Grand Canyon and experience the sky view. We appreciated that the ticket salesperson told us that it was a 30 min wait to get to on the bus to go out there, and another 30 min wait once there to go out on the skywalk. We understood and were fine with that. But, after a 2 hour wait!!!!!!!! in the bus pick up line that was only partly shaded, we were all hungry, frustrated and even watched people throw their $70 tickets in the garbage to turn around and go home, as they felt theyā€™d be better off. Since the busses arrived so infrequently, we packed as many people on as possible so it wasnā€™t the most comfortable ride. The bus takes you back down the main road to a site and restaurant that serves more ā€œauthenticā€ food. The poor restaurant didnā€™t get any customers from our bus as people were too scared to get off as they werenā€™t confident another bus would come within a reasonable time and also because we had wasted too much time already and were eager to get to the main attraction. After circling around, going back past the main terminal, we were finally on our way to the viewing area. While standing at the entrance area, there were some good views of the canyon, however a security guard yelling at people for likely breaking rules that there was no way to know existed took away from the experience. We then entered the sky view entrance, only to see that there were at least 200 people waiting in line and the line was not moving much. With 2 hungry and understandably impatient kids, we headed up to the restaurant and were happy to have fantastic service and a decent meal. Since it was now looking like 7pm before weā€™d get back to Las Vegas, we decided to skip the sky view, wasting our extra admission cost and just head back to the main terminal to get our car. Againā€¦..a long line up. A bus even pulled up and refused to take passengers as they were not lined up properly! After he lectured everyone on how to line up properly, he headed off, leaving us to wait for another bus. I donā€™t write reviews often and normally only do when I have a rave to give, but people need to be warned about this. It was just so disappointing at every turn. Many said that they have visited the national park run entrances and while not as close, are far better run and a much better viewing experience. Overwhelmingly from those who have now visited both, it sounds like youā€™d be better off financially and time wise to make the longer trip to a national park run entrance.
