Greenwich Village Walking Tour

Overview
Join this Greenwich Village history tour led by a native New Yorker. Marc will walk you through the Greenwich Village streets of early 19th-century town houses. Stories of past residents, local history, Native American history, architecture and personal anecdotes enliven this New York City tour. Marc covers unique parts of the Village. Most tours are only 1-2 people and special interests can be accommodated.
It is easy to maintain social distancing (May 2020) for the small groups of 1-2 people. I recommend early morning walks through the almost deserted streets. It is a lovely time of year and the flowers are beautiful.

Mark gave a great tour of the Village and meatpacking area. He grew up there and pointed out architecture and gardens that I never would have spotted. Did not feel rushed and he was happy to entertain all my questions. Highly recommended.

Marc gave us a personalized and fascinating view of the Village. Though we were familiar with the area, he added so much information, covering Native American spots, the 19th and early 20th centuries, and the exciting time of the 60's. Because he was born and raised in the neighborhood, he was able to weave both personal stories and history to make for a very enjoyable tour.
