My friends and I have been out on this boat more than thirty times in the last several years. The naturalists, Deb, Mary, Kathy and others are exceptionally skilled and very kind to the passengers. We now count them as personal friends. Captain Dan and his wife Denise always look to give the people on the boat the best experience they can possibly have. The boat itself is clean and well kept, has great stabilizers and even I have never have been seasick. Dan is an extraordinary captain, and has lots of information about the islands. . So if you want to go on a whale watch, choose Orcas Island Eclipse charters at the bottom of the ferry landing on Orcas. You don't have to bring a car. Even if the whales are on vacation (out to sea) you will enjoy your trip. All thumbs up from the Three Teachers and their friends.

What a helpful, friendly, family company....and they know where the whales are too! The first part of July saw me and many friends up on Orcas for a wedding. Denise helped our group arrange for a special outing to spot whales. We were THOROUGHLY 100% PLEASED with the wonderful tour provided by Captain Dan and the naturalists on board. (I think we had Donna, and a great young man (Taylor? Martin?) who had been inspired by Free Willy to work with whales.) The boat was clean, had a nice snack bar, and was beyond comfortable. Set sail with Eclipse Charters for a wonderful day and fantastic memories of whales in the beautiful Pacific NW! Thanks again to Eclipse for a super adventure.

My sister and I used this company because of a half off Groupon. It's not exactly cheap, but my sister tells everyone it's the best money she ever spent. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and very willing to answer even somewhat silly questions. The boat is nicely maintained, with an indoor seating area with large windows in addition to a large upper deck. We saw over 40 whales that day, along with many seals and bald eagles. My tip of advice would be to make sure to bring cash for the snack bar and to tip the great guides. What a great company!
