Guided Half-Day Tour to Shoshone Falls & City Tour

Overview
Do you go crazy over Natural Wonders? Do you like American history and pioneer culture? Then this is the perfect Big Green Adventure for you! Come along on this scenic tour to Shoshone Falls - the "Niagara of the West".

Drive though the historic Old Town and Warehouse District of Twin Falls, 1904, newly restored and refreshed with modern features.

Stop at Twin Falls Dam and Waterfall where were natural springs burst through basalt lava rock to expose "hidden streams and hanging gardens".

Next, stop at Shoshone Falls where 15,000 years ago an ancient lake overflowed its rim some 300 miles away ripping away Idaho's terrain and creating this stunning natural wonder ranked as one of the top three waterfalls in the United States.

Our last stop is our Visitor Center. Shop for souvenirs, experience the Perrine Memorial Bridge at a breathtaking height of 486 feet and take in the grandeur of our famous canyon and Snake River below.

What To Expect
1
Twin Falls
With a height of 200 feet, Twin Falls is the namesake of the City of Twin Falls, Idaho. Take a short walk on a paved overlook for views of the falls, arch gravity dam and Snake River Canyon. Learn about the people who came here mining for gold while you keep your eye out for the animals that live in the canyon.
2
Shoshone Falls
Visit three viewpoints at Shoshone Falls. The first viewpoint is just above the mighty falls at the historic Glenn's Ferry crossing where you will stand water level behind the Shoshone Falls Dam. Reach down and touch the mighty Snake River! Second, jump back in the tour vehicle and arrive above Shoshone Falls. Take a short five minute walk on a paved trail for an aerial view of Shoshone Falls and the Shoshone Power Plant. Third, enjoy some "free time" at the main viewing platform at Shoshone Falls exploring the park displays and informational boards. Get an up close experience and spectacular views just yards from the top of the flowing falls.
3
Perrine Bridge
Walk along the pedestrian walkway atop this breathtaking 1,500 foot long four-lane truss arch bridge. Span the majestic Snake River Canyon with views of the river, lakes, and waterfalls. Here, your guide will interpret the natural occurrence that created this canyon over 15,000 years ago.
4

Let me start by saying our tour guide was very warm and friendly. She was very accommodating and asked several times if we wanted to stop or spend extra time at certain destinations. The city history is okay, but I was more interested in the Shoshone Falls. If your into the nightlife or new places to eat this is the tour for you. Unfortunately with the drought the Falls were not flowing at full capacity, but still interesting. The tour does not recognize COVID 19 protocol (that I'm used to in CA). I was told several times by the tour guide I did not have to wear a mask (while we were in the SUV). When I told her I was from CA and used to wearing it she said "oh I understand." She then went on to tell us Idaho never shut-down even though the rest of the US was closed.

We had a fabulous time on our tour of Twin Falls. Gabriel was an excellent tour guide. She was personable, friendly, adaptable and informative. These characteristics allowed us to have a great experience. I would highly recommend the half day city and falls tour.

I booked a tour with Gabrielle and it was great and highly recommend. She picked us up at our hotel in a beautiful SUV and gave us a great history overview of downtown and then we hit both Twin Falls and Shoshone Falls and walked across the Perrine Bridge. If there's a specific tour you would like to customize for yourself, give her a call and she will work with your itinerary. She also tours Craters of the Moon and is doing wine tours. I would definitely book with her again if I'm in the area!
