Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. We had a wonderful time at Gypsy Gold. My husband and I are not really horse people, although there were a few in the crowd. We were greeted by Dennis fiancé Erin, and directed to look around. She told us about the rules of petting animals. Warned us not to get too close to the macaws who are gorgeous but will bite. The horses were very gentle and friendly. Dennis Thompson spoke about the history of the Vanner horses and how they came to be in Florida. Dennis is very passionate about his animals and has a dream to expand an interactive trail around the property.. We were fortunate enough to see a 2 day old colt with her mother. She was taken out of the stable for her first time and ran around the paddock under the close supervision of her mother. I would highly recommend a visit to Ocala to see these beautiful creatures and interact with them. They truly are fairy tail horses. Kids would love this as well as anyone else. We would visit again. Good luck to Dennis and his dreams. I hope they all come true!

Captivating and breathtaking, both the horses and the depth of knowledge and passion for these amazing souls by Dennis Thompson! To be in the presence of this man and these incredible horses, and realizing he discovered this little known breed and was the first to bring these spectacular horses to America with the dignity and passion he has for honoring their history, is truly an unforgettable experience! Gypsy Gold Horse Farm is definitely a "must see" destination!

Wonderful place to visit and learn about not only horses but the wonderful culture and people they came from. Can't wait to go back and see the walking trails and other future changes.
