Haleakala is known for rapidly changing weather conditions and dense clouds and rain are common. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, and the tour operates rain or shine. Refunds will be granted only when the tour is cancelled for safety reasons.
The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 24 hours before going on this tour.

Mike was fabulous! Everything was beautiful! The ride was so comfortable. Mike was so detailed in the stories of Maui and Haleakala… so interesting. He is the greatest and the sunset was breathtaking..thank u so much

This was one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had and it rounded out our trip to Maui. Michael (Mike) was an expert and attentive tour guide, affable and true to Aloha spirit. He called us Ohana (family) the whole time. At the stops he made sure to take photos for each group on the bus, and knew exaxtly what angles made for the best shot. He placed us at the best spot for sunset on the mountain and ensured we stayed safe. Most impressive, he ensured we did not break any park rules,especially staying on the paths as the wildlife in the area is fragile. As a volcano lover this was a grand treat and Mike made it even more enjoyable. The bus is comfortable, and if you experienced the ride to Hana, this trip up the mountain is nothing lol.
