Our family group of 6, ranging from age 6 to 71, thoroughly enjoyed our river experience. The river was just rowdy enough for a thrilling float, while tame enough to reduce any anxiety we may have had at the onset. The Mild to Wild office staff and rafting crew were well prepared, addressing questions and providing river safety devices -- helmets and floatation vests -- as well as incidental items -- water boots, wet suits and water jackets, etc. Safety instruction prior to the float was conducted in a professional manner. Our guide, Ryker, was vigilant, making sure we followed safety guidelines, while skillfully guiding the raft through the river course. Ryker was very knowledgeable about points of interest along the trip. He also created a relaxing rapport with our family, telling jokes and sharing personal anecdotes of his river experiences. We highly recommend Mild to Wild for first-time or seasoned rafters.

Our family went on the 3/4 River Rafting trip with Nole today. This was our second time rafting the Animas and even though the water level was very, very low, it was the most amazing day. Having to navigate around all the rocks and getting stuck on rocks just made it more of an adventure. We had to paddle and follow the instructions way more than when the river is fuller. Nole was so much fun and we loved chatting with him the whole trip. He was very experienced and did such a great job keeping us safe and navigating around all the rocks. Highly recommend doing this trip and you will be super lucky if you get Nole as your guide.
