My wife & I (Robert & Monica) made the hike on the South Kaibab Trail with Jon in June 2022. The Hike was AMAZING! Jon told us that once we made the hike, we would understand the Grandeur of the Canyon in a way that is beyond words and to simply go and trust him. He was very right. It was beyond words and worth the effort such a hike required. We are walkers, not hikers. He supplied all of the gear, all of the snacks, the correct type of water (extra to pass out to others on the trail that had not been prepared), and even cooked a hearty and tasty meal for us while we watched the sunset over the canyon. He did all of this while also teaching us "how to hike" with our hiking poles, resting in the proper way, walking in the correct way, drinking and snacking in the correct way; all of which made the journey easier and successful. Now we can hike more successfully on our own. The vistas were incredible. We had 3 American Condors that circled over at one point. We ended our hike with wonderful memories and wishes to bring our two sons back to make another hike with Jon, perhaps on another trail.

This is absolutely the most exhilarating and amazing thing we have ever done! John is not only the best tour guide ever but also a sort of coach, chef, and motivator! I’m so glad we did this tour and did it last as it was that amazing with the most gorgeous views!

From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. The communication from the beginning was excellent. The tour itself is unmatched and the view from your final destination is unlike anything you will see above the rim. Jon was incredibly knowledgeable, taught us proper hiking techniques, and provided an amazing dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
