Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview
Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Unfortunately, the waves were high for snorkeling by the Reef. Captain Deb was fantastic by taking the family cruising around the 7 different bodies of waters around Key Largo. Captain Deb was very knowledgeable of the area, She was a lot of fun and entertaining. She showed us some shipwrecks, we saw manatee, and stopped at a couple of restaurants that we could dock at and grab a drink. We will definitely return to Pirates Cove water sports.

I was very impressed with the captain and co-captain. They were very aware of the safety aspects of being at sea and they taught everyone on the boat how to call for help and how to find the boatā€™s coordinates. Knowing that this will probably never be needed, it was still very nice to hear. The captian had worked in ER medicine his whole life and the co-captain was EMT trained and also a life guard. They gave great instructions to those who had not snorkeled before and also took us to some amazing spots. The fish were beautiful with Angels, Tangs, parrot fish, barracudas and more. The fan Corals were awesome! We had a great experience and thought it was very much worth the money! This company was top knotch!
