Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

The crew was great. The 2 places they took us were great snorkeling spots. But there were lots of moon jellyfish and my family didn't stay in water long for fear of getting stung. Afterward I did research and discovered moon jelly stings are very very mild. I wish crew would have told us this. We would have snorkeled longer without fear of a painful sting. This is only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

The snorkeling was great--we got to stop at Banana Patch and Christ of the Abyss! The crew was a great mix of knowledgeable, helpful, and hilarious (all those dad jokes got me!). Great start to our time in the Keys.

The snorkeling exceeded our expectations! The reef was amazing and the variety of colorful fish was excellent. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Thank you to Gia and Captain John for a great trip to Gracier Rocks reef.
