Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

My husband and I had a good time and felt comfortable however the water was pretty rough, if you get sea sick I highly suggest taking medicine or not going. The boat staff were very nice and helpful however I think they focus a lot more on the scuba divers and less on the snorkelers. Overall it’s was a great time, take the advice and if they say it’s gonna be rough prepare yourself accordingly.

I went on a snorkeling trip in Marathon in April that was so disappointing. Saw a couple of fish and that was about it so I went into this with low expectations but my boyfriend had never been and really wanted to try it and im so glad he did. It was great! Our first stop was an awesome reef that had all kinds of fish surrounding us. Then bonus they took us to a 2nd spot with a huge jesus statue in the water that was one of the coolest things ive ever seen snorkeling. The staff was friendly and it was a great day. 100% would recommend for both first timers and experienced snorkelers.

Crew was wonderful. Enjoyed our trip so much. Can't wait to do it again. Highly recommend doing the half day snorkeling!!! You won't regret it.
