Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview

Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

The water was amazing the day of our snorkeling trip. The visibility was unbelievable . We saw reef sharks, barracuda, turtle and beautiful coral.

We really enjoyed the half-day snorkeling. The first stop was Amazing with tons of fish, Mantas, sea turtle and coral.The water color on the surface was amazing and the clarity underwater was crystal clear. You could see underwater for probably 30 feet or more. The second stop with the statue did not have as many fish and the current was a little stronger but it was neat to hear the story about the statue and see it. My husband saw a huge speckled mantaray here and a nurse shark. The only complaint I would have is I wish we would have known how far off shore we would be to prepare for sea sickness while the boat was anchored at each destination. The only other snorkeling we have done in the past was in calm waters closer to a shore. But other than that it was a wonderful experience!
