Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview
Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

You cannot control the weather. But the waves made it very hard to enjoy the snorkeling. Alot of people got seasick and the second stop was literally 2 minutes away. Also needs better refreshments than water out of a cooler and a slice of orange. Trip should have been canceled or changed to a calmer location.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We do our best to predict seas and visibilty based on the weather reports we get. Conditions can change from morning trip to afternoon. We always put safety first. We also let customers know in shop and on boat what the conditions will be if it is choppy or less that what we all desire, Lake Atlantic. We have never charged a customer who wanted to cancel due the wave height if they decided not to go. We only provide water because we want everyone to stay hydrated and oranges are a great way to get the salt taste out of your mouth. We would love to see you again the next time you are in Key Largo. Again thank you for your feedback.

We couldnā€™t have asked for a better experience on our snorkeling adventure! Mike Cutler and John took such great care of us. They gave thorough instructions and were very patient when helping with equipment. Water was provided as well as a snack, and even reef-safe sunscreen was available. As individuals were helped back into the boat they were even handed a drink of water right away! It was a great adventure yet we felt safe at all times. I highly recommend Pirateā€™s Cove the next time you visit Key Largo.

Gia was very helpful and it made a rough experience better. The waves were at a solid 3 feet for both snorkel/dive stops, causing many passengers to get sick. The water although still beautiful, had pretty low visibility. I would recommend the tour but I'd wait until may or June for better weather.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We appreciate it. We have had some stronger winds which has caused visibilty to go down and increased wave heights. Safety is always first prioty. June and July are much better when it comes to weather. We hope to see then.
