Half Day Snorkel Trip on Reefs in the Florida Keys

Overview
Come join us snorkeling some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many possible reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different locations on the reef. Each stop is determined by the captain based on the day's conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific site.

In an effort to reduce the amount of single-use plastic that ends up in our oceans, we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. We have water coolers in our shop and on our boats for your convenience!

Crew was awesome! Entertaining and informative! Water was clean, beautiful turquoise color. Reef looked healthy. We saw a shark, a sea turtle, many 4 spotted (harmless) jellyfish, and tropical fish. I give a 4 star only because the area is not as amazing for snorkeling as some other places in the world Iā€™ve been. Also in February the swells are a bit high - 2-3 feet which could be unsettling for an inexperienced swimmer/ snorkeled. There were several people on board that got a bit seasick, but the crew was so responsive with solutions for them.

We really appreciate the time you took to write your review. It sounds like you were able to see a lot of marine life given the conditions on your trip. Hopefully you will be able to come back again when the weather is a bit more calm.

It was amazing!!! My biggest fear is big water, I went out thinking I can concur my fear. The gentleman on the boat were fun and explained the process as we stopped at our first stop. When we got there I jumped in the water the way he told me to, I had a panic attack and got back on the boat. Next stop the instructor got in the water with me said look at me I am going to hold your hand and we are going to swim around the boat so you can see. Being that he did this for a living I trusted him, he held my hand the whole time and I got to see the beautiful fish and sting rays. It was the most amazing experience I had in big water. I highly recommend this activity.
